The three homes in Higher Town were completed in January 2011 and have been built on land acquired under a 125 year lease from the Duchy of Cornwall.
Hot water is provided by a solar thermal system wood-burning stoves which also provide heating via radiators and back up electric panel heaters. The properties have high levels of insulation and are connected to a rainwater harvesting system which collects rainwater and recycles it for use in flushing toilets etc.
They are also are connected to a septic tank and a service charge will be payable in addition to the weekly rent to cover the costs, for example, of desludging etc.
There is a large private communal parking area to the front of the properties.
