David, appointed by the Board earlier this year brings an extensive background in the social and affordable housing sector working across most areas in various senior and executive level roles including Property Services Director for a large regional housing association based in Yorkshire and prior to this leading 1500 home Craven Housing a rural housing provider with homes across the Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire.

David has also held several non-executive roles including with the NHS.

Adam Hackett, Chair of CRHA commented “Peter has been instrumental in creating the CRHA we see today and has been a leading advocate for good quality community led affordable rural housing, and he leaves such a positive legacy for families across Cornwall and on the Isles of Scilly. David is equally passionate about the unique challenges and needs of rural housing, brings a wealth of experience and I am excited for the future of CRHA and how we will build on our focus of providing a great customer experience and the provision of quality affordable homes to meet local housing needs in the rural areas of Cornwall and on the Isles of Scilly”

Of his appointment David said “I am both thrilled and honoured to be joining the CRHA team and leading the organisation on the next stage of its journey, I wish Peter all the very best for a long and happy retirement after making a huge contribution to affordable housing across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

CRHA provides a vital affordable housing lifeline for many people across Cornwall and on the Isles of Scilly against the backdrop of an acute lack of affordable housing across the Country, felt particularly hard across the rural communities of the South West who are experiencing their own unique affordable housing crisis; going forward we will continue to do all that we can to support the sustainability and inclusivity of villages, parishes and rural areas across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly working closely with our customers, local communities, and all of our partners”.
