Cornwall Rural Housing Association (CRHA) is a charitable housing association and a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (Registered Number: 24935R).
CRHA was formed in 1985 and is a leading provider of good quality affordable housing across Cornwall and on the Isles of Scilly providing hundreds of homes for rent and shared ownership which are spread across 37 villages and on 4 islands.
CRHA is run by a voluntary Board of Management comprising of people with a wide variety of experience in different fields.
As a developing Association funding for new developments has generally been provided by way of capital grants from government bodies such as Homes England and also from local authorities. These grants have been supplemented by loans raised by CRHA from financial institutions. The loans are repaid from our rental income, which also has to meet the costs of maintaining and managing the properties. CRHA is a Registered Provider of social housing and as such our activities are regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing.
