Take control of your Universal Credit - report your rent increase!

If you claim Universal Credit (UC), to help towards your housing costs, you must advise the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) of your new rent charges from 7th April 2025. Please complete the TO-DO on your journal - Confirm Your Housing Costs. If you don't do this, they won't pay the increase and you will need to pay the difference. If you do not have access to an online portal, you will need to contact the DWP on 0800 328 5644 to let them know the new housing costs.
